Absolutely—they're only 3 km apart and take about 1.5 hours each to explore. Most visitors spend their morning at one castle, grab lunch in Sigulda town, then hit the other castle in the afternoon. Add another hour if you want to walk the Gauja Valley trail that connects them.

It's perfect—just 25 km from Riga, about 30 minutes by train. You can have a solid seaside afternoon with a beach walk and lunch at one of the beachfront cafés without needing to stay overnight.

They're different vibes. Kuldīga (about 90 minutes from Riga) has the widest waterfall in Europe and feels quieter, with red-brick buildings and a slower pace.
